When Erin contacted me about photographing her family, I knew it would be special. I haven't known Erin long, but I know that she is an exceptional person. Erin - or "Miss Erin" as we lovingly refer to her in our house - is my little guy, Archie's teacher. His chubby little face lights up every time he sees her and the way she gushes about his makes my heart happy.
I met Erin's family at her husband's childhood farm. You guys, all of my sessions are special to me, but when we choose a location that is special to you, I can see it in the photos. I followed Erin, her wonderful, easy-going husband, and her three handsome boys around the farm as they explained to me the history of the farm. We saw barns that were built by hand, tobacco hanging to dry, and favorite places where farm animals used to graze. I heard stories of a time long ago and it transformed the already beautiful location into something magical.
I don't get to photograph "big kids" very often, but Erin's boys were an absolute delight. They were so polite and put up with all of my shenanigans.
Erin, thank you for raising sweet, kind humans and for being a part of my little guy’s life.
