How did you and Ethan meet?
Ethan and I met in middle school through mutual friends. We actually ended up dating in 8th grade which was mostly through msn messenger () and I believe the one football game we both attended. When he returned home from college we reconnected at a local bar where we were out with our friends. The next day he sent me a message through Instagram and I asked if he wanted my number, soon after that we had our first date.
How did he propose?
In November 2019, we had the opportunity to take a spontaneous trip to Destin, FL just around our third year anniversary with no idea what was in store. We made a promise that we would get up every morning and try to catch the beautiful sunrise on the beach. One morning, while on our walk, Ethan asked a random couple on the beach to stop and take our picture. Before ethan could even ask me the question the girl screamed “OMG” right at the time I turned around to see ethan down on one knee with the most gorgeous ring I’d ever seen. The element of surprise and my excitement came with a little bit of an unexpected reaction. Yes, my awkward self laughed before I could pull myself together and reply “yes, of course.”
Tell me a fun fact about you two.
We LOVE being outdoors! We spend most of our time boating but we also love hiking and playing with our child aka puppy, Dexter.
Since we started dated, I have made it a tradition to take him to a new distillery/Brewery for his birthday. We sign up for some type of tour and then just enjoy each other’s company while sipping cocktails. Our favorite hands down was the Budweiser Brewery Experience.
We love to travel to places we’ve never been. Last year we went to St. Louis, Daniel Boone National Forest, Dallas, Dale Hollow Lake, and Destin.
We are both Kentucky Wildcat fans and grew up loving the wildcats.
Tell me a little bit about your wedding.
Our wedding will be on November 7, 2020 at The Venue at Roberts Family Farm. It’s important for us to be at a place where we can celebrate with our friends and family that are most important to us. Ethan’s only request was that he wanted to have a good time and told me to plan it as he takes on building our dream lake house, couldn’t argue with that!
