If you live in Kentucky, you know that the weather here is sometimes unpredictable. I mean, snow boots and puffy jacket in the morning, to shorts and a t-shirt in the afternoon unpredictable. When scheduling sessions I try to keep this in mind. I’ve done sessions in the rain and I’ve done sessions in greenhouses and barns to combat the weather. The weather can sometimes but a wrench in my plans but I really love how it forces me to be flexible and get creative.
When it rained at the end of November, this sweet family decided to turn their outdoor vision into a cozy fireplace snuggle session; The results did not disappoint. Reagan and Sawyer are adorable and full of energy. Their love for tractors, Elsa, and Minnie Mouse is shadowed only by their love for their family.
We had a blast exploring their rooms (they each have their own Christmas trees), seeing their favorite toys, and getting tickled by their favorite people. Looking at their photos now, I can’t imagine their session being any other way. It’s funny how things work out that way.
Sarah, thank you for combating the weather with me. Thank you for inviting me into your home, introducing me to your loved ones, and making me feel like part of the family. Oh and thank you for singing “Let it Go” with me. (It gets lonely being the only adult singing sometimes, lol).
