Anyone who knows me knows that I’m pretty much obsessed with personal development. It should come as no surprise then, that I spend a lot of my time listening to books on audible and indulging in podcasts. The other day I came across a Tony Robbins podcast; the topic: grace.
My takeaway from the podcast is that grace is an instance when you have something beautiful that you didn't actually achieve, rather it just is. Like a cooling breeze on a hot day or the presence of the stars in a dark night sky.
When I met Kelcie's family at their home one thing was instantly apparent to me. The love this family has for their sweet little girl is infectious. She is surrounded by love and it is reflected in her smile and the sparkle in her eye.
Now, I will never deny that love can often times be work. We work hard to treat our spouse in a way that makes them feel loved. We work even harder to love ourselves. But, unconditional love, the love that this family has for Kelcie and each other, is pure grace. And watching their love unfold before my camera was an act of grace that I will not easily forget.
