Why did you start your business?
I started my business because as a young child I would go to "The Carousel Shop" in my hometown. It was a children's boutique. My family was poor so I would only get to go in and look. I would absolutely gleam at all the pretty clothes. Because of that, I wanted to create a boutique that was like the shop in my childhood but that was affordable for all. I have also started carrying ladies affordable boutique clothing as well.
What challenges did/have you faced?
I jumped "all in" at the beginning and bought everything I saw without having a budget. It has been a challenge for me to recoup that money that I spent.
Who has influenced and/or motivated you in your business?
The person that has influenced me the most in my decision to become a business owner would have to be my mom. She has been an inspiration my whole life and has helped me tremendously with my business.
In your own words, what products/services do you offer?
I sell ladies and children's affordable boutique clothing and accessories. I am adding a new line of sublimation t-shirts and screenprinted t-shirts, including Mommy and me.
What advice do you have for someone pursuing the entrepreneurial lifestyle?
My advise to someone pursuing the entrepreneurial lifestyle would be to look at market trends in the industry you are looking at getting into and making sure there is a need. I would also create a budget in the beginning and stick to it.
