Why did you start your business?
I always wanted to be a businesswoman. After getting a business degree and working for others I realized what I really wanted was to run my own business. I knew I wanted to help people get their finances together just like I did so after getting my financial coach training I opened my own coaching business.
What challenges did/have you faced?
I face challenges every day, the biggest one is deciding every day to put in the effort. I had to learn how to do so many things, from my financial coach training, to learning how to market myself on social media, how to schedule online, becoming an LLC, figuring out business taxes, and a million other things that a business owner has to learn.
Is there someone in your life who has really influenced your decision to be a business owner?
My husband has always been 100% supportive of me and my business. Any time I need a little extra motivation I can always depend on him to bring me up.
In your own words, what service do you offer?
I help people figure out their money, make good choices with it, and work through all the drama that comes with money. And in doing so they are able to reach their life goals.
What advice do you have for someone pursuing the entrepreneurial lifestyle?
Make sure that it’s something that you are willing to keep putting effort into even when it doesn’t seem like it’s getting you anywhere. You need to love what you are selling (product or service) because running your own business is hard work and passion can take you far. Lastly ask for help if and when you need it. Being an entrepreneur can feel very lonely at times but there are always people there who understand and can help lift you up for teach you something valuable.
